Are You Using the Wrong Shampoo?

Washing with shampoo that’s too harsh for your hair can dry it out or strip your color. Yikes!

Don’t continue to use the same shampoo if the results are drying out your hair.

Do make the switch and find a shampoo that you can cleanse the scalp & moisturizes and nourishes your hair. Remember, wash with warm water, rinse with cool.

Not Rinsing Out Your Hair Properly?

When shampooing and or, conditioning your hair, not rinsing your hair out thoroughly leaves hair looking dull and lifeless.

Don’t rinse your hair out poorly. Over time, product build-up can result in a dry, flaky, oily, a greasy, irritated, itchy, and flaky scalp.

Do rinse your hair out more then once. Allow the water to flow from your scalp to the ends to remove any product build-up. Great tip! Keep conditioner 3” inches away from your roots.

Washing and Drying Your Hair Too Often?

Washing your hair too often and using heat-styling and drying tools can leave your hair dry, limp, damaged, and robbing it of its natural oils.

Don’t wash your hair daily.

Do blow dry and and style your hair properly and soon you will discover that you won’t want to wash your hair everyday because your hair looks beautiful, and will last for days!

Over Using Your Heat Tools?

Here’s a tip! Start off with damp hair, instead of sopping wet hair. This allows less time with blow drying and the use of your heating tools. Too much heat when-styling with dryers, flattening irons, curling irons, electric rollers, and other heating tools can burn, break, and damage your hair.

Don’t over use your heat tools. Too much heat can result in dried out hair breakage especially on chemically treated colored hair.

Do use your heat tools sparingly. Less is more! Also, towel dry your hair, or, just let it dry naturally from time to time. Try switching up your style with hair accessories that give you a fresh new look, and don't require the stress of heat on your hair.
